There are millions of ways to play this sells game. There are millions of strategies. Some work better than others. Some are based on you and how you present yourself. But this strategy I am going to teach you is my favorite. I use this one often and I have been pretty successful with it. I call it the Amplify Their Pain Strategy.
Step 1: Find the Pain. Ask them questions to find out what their pain is. Let them talk and tell you why they need your product or service. Don’t rush them, just listen and look for something you can use. The goal here is to find what will ultimately help them make a decision.
Step 2: Amplify the Pain. In this step you will repeat back to them exactly what they said. You will then take that pain and make it seem like it’s the end of the world. You want them thinking that if they don’t do this now that it will only get worse.
Step 3: The Solution. Once they are in the mindset of this is bad. If I don’t do something now the whole world will come tumbling down. You want to offer them a solution. You are the solution for their problems. The knight in shinny armor. If done right by this time they will want to just throw money at you. Close the deal.
I have used this strategy so many times its ridiculous. This is my go to strategy but not my only strategy. It works give it a try. This takes imagination and storytelling. You want to tell their story to them better than they can tell their own story. Start practicing and painting pictures with words because when they see what you see then possibilities are endless.
Obstacles are those rightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.
