This is going to be a touchy subject. Some may get offended some may disagree and some will grasp the concepts. The only thing I ask is to keep an open mind. I am going to be as blunt and direct as possible. We are here to make money not to play around with emotions. Let’s get into it.
Your Products/Services Suck
Yes, you read that right. Your products and services suck. Everyone thinks they have the best product and because they have the best product it will make them a lot of money. The fact is nobody cares if you have the best product on the market. So, get that BS out of your head. Products do not sell themselves, if that was the case then why would a company need you? People sell products period. This is definitely in my top list of reasons why people don’t make money. Because of the lie that products sell themselves, they do not take the actions needed to sell the product. But if you can grasp the concept that your product sucks, then you will understand that it will take a lot of work to sell. It's like when people join a team that’s already winning. They come in with that mindset that we will keep winning.e They are not as hungry. But when a person joins a team that is losing, they come in with the mindset of how can I make this team win. You need that mindset of how can I make this team win.
Habits to Pick Up
When I first joined a network marketing company, I asked one of the top earners how can I get to their level. Her reply was you have to read. You need to start learning and studying business. I was 27 at that time. Now keep in mind, in my entire life I can only remember reading about 5 books or less. I hated to read. But I wanted that money so guess what, I was reading every and any book I could get my hands on in that subject. Then my hopes got crushed. At a conference in Houston, I was introduced to one of the top earners. I was telling what books I was reading and what books I have read. Instead of him congratulating me on taking the steps to become a top earner he gave me my next big lesson. He said reading books is great and all but how much have you applied. I sat back like damn I was so crushed. But he was right, how much did I apply. So now back to the drawing board. From that day forward when I read I apply. Now instead of reading a bunch of books, I read the same books over and over. After I read the book I apply the information that I learned. So, the habit you need to pick up is reading and applying.
Skills You Will Need
If you have followed me for any amount of time you have heard me say this before. You need 2 main skills to succeed in life. Sales and Marketing. Those are your two foundational skills. I always say marketing is more important than sales, but you need to learn how to sell first. Everyone whether they want to believe it or not is a salesman or saleswomen. If you understand the concept of sales its nothing more than getting people to act a certain way. Example: Children getting their parents to buy them a toy. Men getting women to go out on a date. Trying to convince people that you cannot sell. All those are example of selling. I have several blogs on this topic and will list a few at the end.
People Don’t Know What You Don’t Tell Them
For some reason, people assume that others should know what you have going on. News flash for you, people are not mind readers. People do not spend their entire day focused on you. Get over yourself. People only know what you tell them. They don’t know you're the hottest thing out until you tell them you are the hottest thing out. People don’t even know you have a business if you don’t tell people you have a business. Now some people will say, well hey I put it on my social media. But I would reply with how many times did you put it on your social media? Are you consistent or sometimy. See it takes people about 7 times for people to see your marketing before it clicks. This means its has to come across their screen about 21 to 35 times and out of that, they will only notice 7. So, don’t assume people have even seen your material.
Busy Vs Productive
Are you being busy or are your being productive? Being busy is a sign of fear or laziness. Being productive is taking the action you need to achieve your goal. Busy work will slow you down productive work will help you achieve your goals. To make this simple ill give you the strategy I use when prioritizing task. I ask myself this question I heard from a Zig Ziglar book. Is this going to get me closer to or further away from my goal? I kind of switched it around and ask myself this. When I’m done will it have made me money? Things that make money: Building a system to funnel people to the money. Getting in front of people somehow some way. Whether in-person, social media, radio, video, telephone. But somehow getting your message product or service in front of people.
This is one of my longer blogs but there are a lot of gems in this one. Everything is from firsthand experience which makes it more authentic. If I offended you good, now take something from this and apply it. Go out make some money let’s get it.
Do unto others as others do unto you is the myth. This myth gives people a gateway to treat people bad. Well this person treated me like this so I can treat them the same. This violates the Law of Reciprocity. In this article I plan on re-framing the statement of Do unto others as others do unto you.
Let’s talk about The Law of Reciprocity. Give and take cause and effect. We learned about this as children in school but somehow forgot about it as adults. If you treat someone bad, they will react negatively. That’s how it works. If you treat someone good, they will act accordingly. So, what is the common denominator in the equation? You, how you treat the person is how they will react.
So what can you do? The first thing is to stay positive. Positivity is the key here. Being grateful for everything around you is the first step. A part of my morning routine is to meditate. In that meditation I focus on all the things I am grateful for. That sets my day up for success.
Being a generally good and honest human being is another way. Be just in all that you do. Don’t do things out of envy or jealousy. Do them because they are the right thing to do. If you do the right thing most people will reciprocate that. Im not saying that there aren’t bad people out there. I am saying protect your energy and only focus on doing the right thing. For example, I don’t lie. The reason I don’t lie is it takes to much energy to make up a lie. Its so much easier to tell the truth whether good or bad. I normally get the truth in return.
Overall, do the right thing. Be nice and courtesy to people. Respect people and they will respect you. Remember what you put out is what you get. If you put out negativity you will receive negativity. If you put out positivity you will receive positivity. That’s the way it works.

I had to write this blog. If you follow me or my content, you know Respect and Integrity are big to me. I was reading some post from some other influencers and they clearly don’t respect their people. So, I want to open your mind and get you to think critically about this subject.
Understand I am from the streets. Where the slightest hint of disrespect can get you and everyone around you killed. I learned to respect everyone until they give you a reason not to. The way it translates into the entrepreneur world is, respect the people you work around. If you treat your people with respect, they will help your business go a long way. If you disrespect your people, they will help you fail. Let me give you an example of this.
Example: When I was in the army as a young specialist, I didn’t like my leadership. My NCO (supervisor) wasn’t a bad guy at all. He was kind of cool. The problem was he wasn’t a strong leader, he let others overwork and take advantage of us. He would always take the credit for our hard work. So, one day I got fed up. When we were by ourselves, I let him know. I told him you may oversee this office, but we run shit around here. If anything gets done it’s because of us. If anything doesn’t get done its because of us. Don’t ever forget it. Every now and then he would forget, and we would mess some things up to remind him. Point is, take care of your people and they will take care of you. But if you don’t take care of your people, they will watch you fail and may even contribute to your failure.
The second part is Integrity. On the streets we say, “My Word Is My Bond.” That means if I tell you something then that’s what I mean. You never go back on your word. In the entrepreneur world that’s called integrity. If you say it mean it or don’t say it at all. To many times have I seen people go back on their word. Each time you do that to your people they lose a little respect and trust for you. I am a firm believer in it takes to much energy to come up with a lie. Stand by your word even if you are wrong. Its nothing wrong with admitting you are wrong or apologizing. However, it is something wrong with you lying. Let me give you an example
Example: When I was deployed in Iraq I got into an argument with my XO (Vice President). In that argument I told him when I get there, I’m not doing shit. Now I know I was way out of line, but I was fed up. So, once I get to the patrol base, he calls me to his office. He had written me up and towards the end of him talking I proceeded to leave. Right before I left, he said I’m not done. He asked me did you say when you get here, you’re not doing shit. I looked him right in his eyes and said yes sir that’s exactly what I said. Point is stand by your words good or bad. Practice saying what you mean, and you won’t have to worry about retracting your statements.
Finally, in the words of the streets keep that same energy when I see you. Respect everyone and have integrity. They can take you a long way.
For a long time, I have been using this strategy. I first heard or learned of this strategy from the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. There is a Law of Success called the Power of The Mastermind. I know this works and I will break it down in this blog. I will teach you how to use it and how I use it.
Step 1: Build Your Team
A lot of people say I know a lot or things like you’re so smart. But the truth is I always have help. I have a team of people I can call anytime and brainstorm ideas with. This is your 1st step, find people you can brainstorm your ideas with. Be careful who you pick because some people talk but don’t act. You want action takers and people doing better than you in the area you are trying to improve.
Step 2: Find Your Thinking Space
My thought process is simple. I go to my thinking place, which is somewhere quiet where I can focus and think undisturbed. For me it’s the shower, for you it might be somewhere else. But regardless find you a quiet place where you can focus on your thoughts. Why’ll in your thinking place come up with your idea and bounce them around with all the possibilities. You want to do this before you even talk to anyone. But even though you have thought of all possibilities remember to stay open minded. Your 2nd step is to find your thinking place.
Step 3: Share Idea's
Once you have brainstormed your idea then call one of your friends. Run your idea bye them. You may have thought of all the possibilities you can, but they will come up with ones you may not have thought of. Listen with an open mind. Ask questions and think critically. Try to think of new possibilities as you listen and think about what they say. Your 3rd step bounce ideas with your friend.
Step 4: Let The Magic Work
This is where the magic comes into play. This is the invisible person there with you. When you do this, you will come up with a new idea that neither one of you could have thought about on your own. It will be as if another person was in the room or on the phone with you. This idea will be the one that works the best. I personally use this for every idea. I love to brainstorm then test out new ideas and see what happens. Then adjust from there. Start building your team and give it a try. You will be amazed at how far and how fast you get ahead.
Faith is more important than fact is a FACT. If you use faith to your advantage you will get a lot further in life. Faith is a skill that must be trained and nurtured. We are told to have faith but not how to have faith. In this blog we will talk about how to capture and utilize the skill of faith.
Faith by definition complete is trust or confidence in someone or something. You must learn and understand this definition. When you come up with an idea you must have complete faith that it will work. If you don’t believe in your own ideas how can you expect someone else to believe in your ideas. Faith is the only skill that will get you through the hard times. Knowing something good is on the other side of the pain is all you need to survive.
How do you strengthen your faith? Instead of me preaching ill give you a list. Do something from this list everyday.
Faith is more important than fact. The fact for many of you reading this could be you are struggling. Struggling to get by every day. That could be the facts. But with faith that doesn’t even matter because you know that if you keep pushing good things will happen. Have Faith in your abilities. Here is something I tell myself everyday and it works. I don’t know where the money is coming from. But I know it’s coming.
We often hear people talk about you have to have the desire to want more. But what does that mean? Because I desire something does that mean I’m going to get it? Or is there more to the story? In this blog we are going to break down how to turn your desire into a reality.
The first thing you need to understand is the difference between a desire and a wish. When you look up the definition of the two words, they are similar but easily confused. When you wish for something its more of a want. I wish I had a million dollars. But when you desire something you are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. I’m going to get a million dollars. So, you need to turn that wish into desire.
One thing you will have to do is figure out what you want. Make sure it’s what you want. If you don’t know what you want, how do you know what to go after? If you focus and put your mind on the right task it will figure out the rest. You have to ask the right questions, such as how can I get that? This is why people say make a vision board so you can see what you most desire in front of you every day and stay focused.
After you know what you want, you have to visualize it in your head. Let your body fill with that joyful anticipation. Let it be so strong that you start smiling. When you visualize something, it does something to your mind and body. If you think about the opposite which is fear it creates anxiety. You fear what’s going to happen which has the physical effect of anxiety. You have to do the opposite and get excited for what you are about to get, what you see in your mind. It’s like a kid the night before Christmas. Everyone tries to stay up late or go to bed extra early to get those presents. Become a kid again and start seeing the things you want.
Finally, you have to believe you can get it. It’s not enough to desire something and visualize it, if you still think you will not get it or achieve that goal. You have to believe that all things are possible and not just possible but possible for you. You can and will get it. If you believe it your mind will make it happen. Your disbelief is what’s holding you back.
The Wright brothers said they were going to fly around the world. Think about how many people told them they were crazy. Think about how many disbelieved them. But they had a burning desire to make it happen and they did. Now people fly all around the world every day of the year. Be the Wright brothers.
Everyone has dreams. Most of us as we grew older forgot about our dreams. Life hit us and we gave up. The dreams never went away we are just not pursuing them. This blog is for you, it’s to help you reignite your desire.
You deserve to have everything your heart desires. We watch other people live their dreams, why not you? This thing called Desire is the 1st step. It is the key to unlocking your success. Don’t let the world tell you that you can’t do it. You deserve to be happy.
So, what should you do? You need some meditating time. You need some time to just sit back and think for yourself. Think about you and be selfish. Ask yourself what do you desire most out of life. Then allow your mind to come up with the answer. Ask yourself how can you get what you most desire. Think about how happy you will be when you achieve this goal. Let that joyful anticipation take over and destroy all your fears. Start making a list of everything you desire. Make a list of all the steps and break them down into mini steps. Then take action. Even if it’s a small step it’s still a step.
Don’t stop there. Take it to the next level. You have to protect your desire. What you consume determines the way you think. Start reading books, listening to audios, and change the people you are around. These things will help keep you motivated. They will open your mind to newer, better, and faster ways to achieve your goal. Your success library is key, and your friends are key as well. You need more people who think like you and less people who gave up on their dreams.
Being your own boss is not just a saying it’s a lifestyle. It’s a way of living, a way of thinking, a way of disciplining yourself. Taking control of your life and holding yourself accountable. Understanding everything starts with you and ends with you. So, let’s get into it…
When I say Be, I am talking about becoming something. You need to first become a new you. A better you dedicated to your progress. As children we are all told we can be anything we want to be when we grow up. Its true, if we focus, grind, and work hard we can become whatever we want. In this sense we are talking about becoming your own Boss. One employee One manager One owner. That’s who you will become.
When I say Your, I’m talking you. Most of the day we are on someone else’s time. We don’t have time to think for ourselves. We need to start shifting that mindset. Start focusing on yourself. If you are going to be your own boss and take control of your life you will have to focus on you. You can’t help anyone else if you are struggling so get your ish together. Take responsibility for you. Start with disciplining yourself to do things to help you progress.
Own up to everything. You have to man up or woman up, and own it all. It takes to much energy to lie and make excuses. You just have to accept things as is. Don’t lie to yourself don’t make excuses for your shortcomings. It’s your life own it. Don’t let life own you. Don’t just get up everyday and go through the motions, start moving with a purpose. You only have one life to live. You are either going to take control and own your life, or others will take control and own you. They will tell you when to get up, what to wear, when you can leave to go home. Have a plan and take control of your life. Don’t just lay down and let the world own you.
To be a boss is the greatest thing. However, if you can’t discipline yourself to do the right things you are not a boss. If you only have one employee and that employee is you, but you can’t control your employee then you are the problem. You have to realize your mind is the boss your body is the tool to get the work done of your mind. Command your body to make healthy habits and do it.
When you get the BYOB down pack, life is amazing. You see things differently and you will make things happen. You will start feeling accomplished and be a lot happier. You are a Boss the ruler of you now you just have to own the title. Be Your Own Boss take pride and take control. I believe in you!!!
This is a touchy subject for me. If you don’t know me here is a brief background. I was in the military for 8yrs. I was injured during deployment and started my entrepreneur journey. During this journey I have met many people. Some helpful some not so helpful. Recently I started joining Facebook groups. In these groups I see a lot of false profits. So, in a sense this is my way of trying to protect you from following the wrong people like I did in the beginning.
What is a False Prophet?
A lot of people live by the mantra fake it until you make it. They pretend to have all this money nice cars big home and get people to follow them. Remember every that glitters isn’t gold. I personally fell victim to these people. I followed them blindly and religiously. Everyone wants to be the hottest thing out but nothing to really show for it. Nothing of substance to teach because they never did it. In this type of situation, you must pay close attention to them and go with your gut.
What to look for?
When I am introduced to a new person the first thing I do is research. I start looking up who this person is. They may not be a big name which is fine. But you need to become a researcher and again trust your gut. Don’t let the superficial stuff fool you. Listen to them, is what they’re saying making sense. Do they have people to back up their claims? I personally watch a person for a few months before I spend a single penny with them. I read their comments and see what others are saying. I look for trends like people jumping all over the place business to business. New opportunity to new opportunity. Here is my thing if you are really making that kind of money then why would you keep switching companies?
How to decipher the real from the fake
The false prophets are all smoke and mirrors. They show you shinny things and expect you to follow. The real people making the money from my experience are not flashing you shinny things. Instead they are teaching you something. That’s the difference one offers shinny things one offers education. I hate the mantra fake it until you make it. At the Anti-Poverty Message, the mantra is Don’t Fake It Until You Make It, Just Make It. Not to say that these people flashing shinny things don’t have anything to teach you. I am saying watch them closely and make the best decision possible.
Stay opened minded and protect yourself. One false prophet will cost you time, money, and energy. You will burn up your warm market and get frustrated. It will make you quit before you even got a chance to get started. This was me, this really happened to me and I know its happening to many others. Don’t be that person. If you want to succeed you need to be moving forward. Speed is the key to success. In our life time we will all have touched a million dollars. But we are all not millionaires. The reason why is because it took to long to make the millions. Point is don’t let the false prophet add time to your journey. Research, research, research. I look forward to seeing you at the top.
Is money your issue? Do you find yourself always looking for a new job? Do you find yourself making more money and ending up with more bills? These are common problems. Many of us have never gotten any financial training. For me it was pretty much trial and error. I made some mistakes along the way and I still do. However, I also learned some valuable lessons which is what I will teach here.
Is money your issue? The answer to that, is it depends. Every now and then yes, we need more money to survive. For the most part money is not the issue, we are. Yes, that’s right you are the problem in this equation. We tend to live outside of our means and end hurting ourselves in the long run. What people call keeping up with the Jones's. Let me help you by breaking down some very basic strategies that anyone can follow right now.
Step 1: You need to write down every single bill that you have. I mean everything Netflix, Tidal, Gym, etc.
Step 2: Put a price next to each bill. That way you can physically see what’s going on. I normally make a 12-month chart. I write down and track every penny I spend on bills. You should do the same. Start monitoring where your money is going.
Step 3: Add up all your bills and add up all the money you make for a month. Subtract the bills money from the money you made. If you don’t like the number left over then make some adjustments to where you are spending your money. For example, If I made $3000 a month and had $1250 in bills and didn’t like that I need to make some cuts somewhere.
Step 4: Get rid of nonessential bills. Start getting rid of bills that you don’t need. When I say bills you don’t need, I’m talking about bills that if you cut them off nothing will happen. Netflix, Tidal, Gym, Hulu, there are tons of other subscription websites but those are just a few.
Step 5: Start funneling all that money from those bills to bills that you can pay off. For example, car note. A car note can be paid off and that’s one less bill for you. So, when you cut off your non-essential subscriptions funnel that money to your car note. You will pay your car off faster and start having a lot more money once the car is paid off.
Step 6: Discipline yourself to not over spend. This is a hard one for me because I love to spend money. But I have a system. A lot yourself a certain amount of money each month that you can spend, and don’t go over. Practice until you get it right.
If done right, you will see that you have more money than you thought. In some cases, you will need a job to make more money but not always. I am an advocate of having multiple streams of income. I’m not an advocate of having to kill yourself to do it. Strategize, focus, and discipline yourself. Its no point in making more money if you can’t manage the money you have.
The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today.
